Real churros in Spain are not light and fluffy; they're like this. My husband thought it was difficult to make. Did not have a pastry bag, so I used a ziploc bag instead to pipe into oil..

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook churros using 5 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Churros:

  1. Take 1 cup Atta
  2. Get 250 gms Powdered Sugar
  3. Get 2 table spoons Ghee
  4. Make ready 1-1/2 cup Water
  5. Prepare as needed Oil for frying

Repeat until the pan is full but the bites still have room to fry. Cook the churros until they're golden brown on all sides. Remove from heat and stir in flour. Make churros: In a large saucepan over medium heat, add water, butter, and sugar.

Steps to make Churros:

  1. Take a pan boil water in it and add 50 GM's of sugar and 2 tablespoons of ghee in it. Mix well till sugar get dissolved.
  2. Now switch off your gas and add atta to this booking hot water. Mix it well so that there should be no lumps in it.
  3. Keep it for 5 mins to cool a bit. Then Knead it for 5 mins till it become a soft dough.
  4. Make shape of churros with the help of a mould or a squeezer with nozzle of your favorite design.
  5. Now heat oil in a pan and fry these churros till they get dark brown colour. Take them out of oil and mix in 200 gms powdered sugar so as it get coated on all churros.

Bring to a boil, then add vanilla. Turn off heat and add flour and salt. Spain's equivalent of doughnuts, churros are famous throughout the world. They are commonly enjoyed for breakfast or the Spanish afternoon snack called the merienda, and are sold at cafes, churros bars, and from street vendor carts. Traditional Spanish churros come in a variety of shapes and sizes, the most common being a loop or a stick.
