  5. Enjoy with family and friends

Place apples on the top of the pie base. Remove remaining dough from the fridge and cut it into stripes, cover top of the cake with them. Half the time my brother Damien requested apple pie for his. If we were Polish, homemade, sugar dusted Szarlotka is surely what he would have gotten. Either way, the method is the same.
